Kanye West - Runaway (Full-length Clean)


Yeezy holds no stone unturned with creativity on the full-length of Runaway.

Produced by Hype Williams and Kanye him self, the two manage to capture a more emotional and dramatic side of the music from the anticipated album of the year My Dark Twisted Fantasy.

The video shows images of a compilation of drawings kanye drew when he was growing up.

The album is rumoured to sell 500000 in the first week, but due to the controversy of the explicit nature of the cover. It has been banned in the United States.

I say GOOD as job.

Hide And Seek- Wikid

Theres really nothing much to say on this guy other than that he was in the industry for a young minute as a part of Township Frequency a Hip Hop crew consisting of Amu, Selwyn, Nothende, and of course Wikid.

Wikid came on the scene with a very controversial song titled The Man were he dissed everyone in the game. He later dropped a album titled Anger Management which didn't do bad at all. After that there's just nothing on his timeline other than that he just vanished.

Is Wikid the Weak Kid for falling off so quick?

Tyler Perry the creator of Madea and the man behind Why Did I Get Married, has given us his latest offering- For Colored Girls. The title of the movie caused a lil controversy because alot of people claim the title of this movie is discriminatory, they feel its not meant for people of other races. I'm sure Tyler Perry did not have that sort of mentality when writing this movie. For Colored Girls is not only For Colored Girls, its for everyone!

South Africa was graced with the emergence of a new pay TV channel Top TV, which was set to compete with the already established pay TV channel DSTV.

Dstv has been in the industry for a while, having been established in 1995, it has grown in strides over the years and boasts just over 2 Million subscibers. To keep up the standard and mantaining the number one spot, it has offered suitable packages which suit most salaries. It has 6 packages which include DSTV: Premium, Compact, select 1&2, Lite and Easyview. Premium is the most expensive and comprises of all channels that DSTV offers, while Easyview and Lite are the least or cheapest with a selection of channels of choice. What sets DSTV apart from Top TV is its range of decoders. DSTV has four set of decoders which include a standard decoder, PVR, HD PVR and HD PVR dual view. Whats exciting about the PVR and is that one can record up to 60 hours of content and you can pause LIVE TV (its true). The HD PVR just offers good picture quality in high definition and the HD PVR dual offers the same function as the standard PVR. The price range differs, with the standard PVR the cheapest.

As aforementioned, TOP TV is the new kid on the block and has a long way to go before catching up with DSTV. Top TV currently stands at just over 100 000 subscribers which is not bad for a new comer. It has five packages which include variety, kids&Music, Ent & Knwldge, movies and Top star. The pricing is very cheap for now, with the most expensive package peaking at R249. Top TV currently has a single set of decoder, but can be linked to various rooms in the house on a single view. It also boasts channels such as BET, Fox, Ftv, Aljazeer and Top TV channels. That is about as that can be said about Top TV.

I don't care what anybody says but these old skool guys are the ones who invented swagg!..

I here these new skool rappers claiming how fresh they are, going on on how they invented swagg, blah blah blah.. thats nonsense! Swagg has been there since the days of MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice. these guys are the one's who made the Hi-top fade cut popular; who brought fresh and added swagg to the raps!


Castle Lite did best by bringing the originators of swagg back to the scene with the Castle Lite ads. Rumour is that these two are due for a concert sometime this year here in South Africa, anybody got more details hook us up!.

Young Money S.A?


This is how I see it.. The same way Young Money is dominating the American industry with its man power, TS Records is doing the same in the South African industry and I cant help but compare the two. Not to mention that the people in both these stables have a similar make-up.

TS Records is co-owned by DJ Sbu and TK hence TS. Since its existence this record label has brought us mega stars( Mzekezeke; Brown Dash; Izinyoka; Ntando; Brickz and many more..) and blazing hits over the years. Traditionally a kwaito record label but has spanned its wings with the signing of PRO, better known as Pro-Kid.

How are these two stables similar? well Young Money(YM) is owned by Lil Wayne and Birdman; TS Records by Dj Sbu and TK; Drake is the main attraction thats pushing YM and I'd say the same about PRO's role in TS. Than you have Tyga the youngin of the crew; in TS you have Lungelo; Gutta Gutta- Sash. And off course Nicki Minaj is Nhlanhla.

Think about it, it makes logical sense for me to call TS Records Young Money S.A. right?

Matching Underwear


If you're a girl ask any guy about how much of a turn off non-matching underwear is.. and if they say its not a turn off than they are just as foolish as you for wearing non-matching underwear..


I mean I don't understand what would possess you as a girl not to wear a bra that match's your panties. Its not like it out your way or it requires an extra effort. Come on its not rock science. Blue bra with blue panty that simple!


As much as you wouldn't wear a green sock with a pink sock- the same logic applies. After all you don't no who might see it. If it doesn't match than simple coordination then- if its poker dots let it be poker dots! No smarties- its very tacky.
Am I being too demanding? maybe I'm just a guy and I don't understand, then let me know whats the deal.

With that said let me congratulate those of you who have been taking the time to coordinate your underwear and making it match- its quite sexy!.
Let me also congratulate those who after reading this saw the light and will wear pink with pink!. And those who still stick to their non-matching; non-coordination guns... Well good luck

Smith Empire- The Karate Kid

I took my time to watch the remake of The Karate Kid staring Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith (Will Smith's son)...

I must say I am very dissapointed to say the least. Or is it because I was expecting a totally different movie?.. Well firstly if you've seen the original than there's no need to go and see this one, because just like me you'll feel quite bored. The story line is the same old boring storyline of boy likes girl, but boy gets bullied by other boy for girl, boy learns karate and ends up winning. Have we not seen that storyline a thousand times before?

The only reason to watch it, would be to check out individual performance by the characters- Jackie Chan plays an exceptional Mr Miyagi and Jaden Smith proves that he just didn't get the role because of his dad.


Just and aside on the Smith family. I think this family is starting some sort of an empire. Jada Smith an Actress; Will Smith a rapper/actor and now the Kids- Willow Smith signed to Jay Z's RocNation and Jaden Smith hitting the big screens once again with the remake of
The Karate Kid. (Yes you guessed it right- Willow is named after Will Smith and Jaden
after Jada Smith)


Oh another aside: Do you think Jaden Smith looks like Riley from the Boondocks?..

Greatest Speech Of All Times?


Still on the awards tip.. Which do you think is the greatest speech of all time. Is it the Barack Obama Yes We Can Speech? The I Am An African by Thabo Mbeki; Long Walk To Freedom by Nelson Mandela? Or maybe the John F Kennedy Don't Ask What Your Counry Can Do For You, Ask What Can You Do For Your Country speech?

Well my mind is already made up. The one speech that still resonates even today; the one speech that stood the test of time and still sounds better today than it did years ago. It has to be from the Late Great Martin Luther King Jnr with I Have A Dream. It is no doubt a long speech so bear with me..



I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.

Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity.

But one hundred years later, the Negro still is not free. One hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languished in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land. And so we've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

In a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the "unalienable Rights" of "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given the Negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked "insufficient funds."

But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. And so, we've come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.

We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of Now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children.

It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment. This sweltering summer of the Negro's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning. And those who hope that the Negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. And there will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the Negro is granted his citizenship rights. The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.

But there is something that I must say to my people, who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice: In the process of gaining our rightful place, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again, we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.

The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Negro community must not lead us to a distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. And they have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom.

We cannot walk alone.

And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead.

We cannot turn back.

There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "When will you be satisfied?" We can never be satisfied as long as the Negro is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of police brutality. We can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. We cannot be satisfied as long as the negro's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one. We can never be satisfied as long as our children are stripped of their self-hood and robbed of their dignity by signs stating: "For Whites Only." We cannot be satisfied as long as a Negro in Mississippi cannot vote and a Negro in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until "justice rolls down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream."

I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of great trials and tribulations. Some of you have come fresh from narrow jail cells. And some of you have come from areas where your quest -- quest for freedom left you battered by the storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of police brutality. You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive. Go back to Mississippi, go back to Alabama, go back to South Carolina, go back to Georgia, go back to Louisiana, go back to the slums and ghettos of our northern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed.

Let us not wallow in the valley of despair, I say to you today, my friends.

And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of "interposition" and "nullification" -- one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, and every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight; "and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together."

This is our hope, and this is the faith that I go back to the South with.

With this faith, we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith, we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith, we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

And this will be the day -- this will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with new meaning:

My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing.

Land where my fathers died, land of the Pilgrim's pride,

From every mountainside, let freedom ring!

And if America is to be a great nation, this must become true.

And so let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire.

Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York.

Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania.

Let freedom ring from the snow-capped Rockies of Colorado.

Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California.

But not only that:

Let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia.

Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee.

Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi.

From every mountainside, let freedom ring.

And when this happens, when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual:

Channel O Music Video Awards 2010



You know what they say, better late than never!..

Well if you don't know what went down with this year's Channel O Music Video Awards that took place at held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa tonight on Thursday 4 November, well let me put you on!..

The ceremony wasn't all that bad but the perfomances weren't the best (the Teargas perfomance) all in all Channel O came thru!.. The Winners of that night are as follows..

Most Gifted Video of the Year went to South African hip-hop trio, Teargas with “Party 101”.
Most Gifted Female of the Year went to Nigerian artist Mo’Cheddah for her song featuring a guest spot by Othello, “If You Want Me”.

4 O'clock sometime during the week you knew that it was Pokemon time and Ash and his crew did not disapoint, with Pikachu on his shoulder and his Pokemons in his balls he was always bound to win against Meawth.


They tried to bring Digimons on TV and other funny cartoons to replace Pokemon but Pokemon still remain the best of the best.

The Social Network is a movie that tracks how Facebook was created, it follows the life of computer programming genius Mark Zuckerberg- creator of Facebook- on how he become the world's youngest billionaire. I'm sure this is gonna be a nice movie and that all Facebook'er are gonna go watch it. Question is, is he gonna be a billionaire all over again with this movie?

He then created the software with a team of engineers. The hardware electronics were designed by English engineer David Cockerell and his team

What G.O.O.D Music to expect this november...

Fantasy was very controversial to a point were they changed it. We never no
what to expect from Kanye, but best believe its gonna be a musical work of art!.






I'm waiting for this album with an open mind because I know

kid Cudi is gonna come with alot of surprises.. G.O.O.D ones I hope.

Joe Budden- In The Mood 4 Muzik?


The heavyweight, Mood Muzik 1, 2, and 3 rapper Joe Budden has come out stronger than ever with his latest offering- Mood Muzik 4: A Turn 4 The Worst.

I had a listen to this album and I must say, as a lyricist you can't take away anything from Joe Budden!. He came out 4 times harder. The first few tracks are very hard and if you're not a hip hop head I doubt that you will appreciate them. Personally I found them too raw- they are a collaboration of hard verses, not songs!. A track to look forward to is track 12 Remember The Titans Featuring Fabolous, Lloyd Banks & Royce Da 5’9- the real Titans.


Move down to the second half of the album Joe Budden becomes soft and he tones everthing down, he does songs that you can actually relate and listen to. After all listening to someone tell you how dope they are gets tiring. Track 15 Welcome To Real Life is what you're most likily to hear around social circles.

Taking nothing from Joe Budden ,he is a hard rapper and best believe to get quality raps when listening to him but he could be more accomodating to new listeners. Work on the sound as well!


It would be relevant 4 me to give Mood Muzik 4 a 4 out of 5 just based on the title. But I feel it deserves a 3. 3/5 is not a bad rating Joey!!
